This artwork, depicting the Church Triumphant, is one of three parts of an altarpiece painted by Fra Angelico. In this section, which is the lower part of the center panel of the altarpiece, three rows of Old Testament and New Testament saints are adoring the risen and glorified Christ, Who is depicted on the upper part of the same panel. The left side of the altarpiece has the Virgin Mary, apostles, and other saints depicted on it.
