Saint Stanislaus of Szczepanów was the Bishop of Krakow in the eleventh century, martyred by the Polish King, Boleslaus, who killed the Bishop while he was celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. St. Stanislaus was persecuted for his condemnations of the corruption of the Polish government. He is the Patron Saint of Poland. Artwork by Samostrzelnik.
