Our Lady sits in a recess, built high up into the one wall of the stable, holding the Infant Jesus in her lap. St. Joseph stands behind her. One of the Kings has climbed part-way up the wall so that he kneels before the Child Jesus, touching the Infant's feet. The other two Kings stand below, with their crowd of courtiers.
