Gaspar, Malchior, and Balthasar present gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the Infant King, Jesus Christ, at the Epiphany.
Mary stands over the hay-filled manger, lifting the cloth from Christ, so that the Kings can see the Divine Infant. One of the Magi kneels, kissing Christ's feet. The other two Kings await their turns, holding golden vessels. The Magi's crowd of courtiers, including two small children, stands behind the Kings. St. Joseph watches over the Virgin and the Infant from from farther within the stable.
