Saint Wenceslas is a restored detail from the votive panel of Archbishop Jan Očko of Vlašim, painted in Prague around 1370. The crowned patron of Bohemia stands against a tooled gold ground, holding his banner with the black eagle and dressed in a red tunic over chain mail.
A striking medieval portrait of the saint for the feast of Saint Wenceslaus on September 28, holy cards and Czech heritage projects.
