Peter and John at the Temple Gate – Drost

Peter and John at the Temple Gate is a restored drawing attributed to Willem Drost, pupil of Rembrandt. At the Beautiful Gate of the Temple, Saint Peter tells the lame beggar, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk" (Acts 3).

A fine Rembrandt-school sketch for lessons on the Acts of the Apostles and the early Church.
