The Burial of Saint Wenceslas – Master of Eggenburg

The Burial of Saint Wenceslas is a restored late Gothic panel painted around 1490 by the Master of Eggenburg. The crowned, haloed body of the martyred Duke of Bohemia is lowered into his tomb in a vaulted church while mourners and haloed saints look on.

Rich reds and greens in the Central European Gothic style, ideal for the feast of Saint Wenceslaus on September 28 and for parish, classroom and publishing projects.
