In this artwork depicting the night of Christ's Birth, the Blessed Virgin lies beside the manger with the Infant Jesus in it, in a cave. Angels gather around the cave. St. Joseph and shepherds also gather outside the cave. One of the angels explains the tidings of Christ's Nativity to the shepherds.
