In 1918, right when World War I ended, a unique picture was discovered in the basement of a school in Belgium. This school was run by a group of nuns and had been attended by a woman named Berthe Petit. This image, named "Our Lady of Ollignies", is special because it mixes the artistic styles from both Western and Eastern churches.
This picture is also linked to the title "Our Lady of Sorrows" and " Sorrowful Immaculate Heart".
Berthe Petit, who had once studied at this school, is sometimes linked to this image. She claimed to have seen visions of Jesus that focused on the pain Mary felt.
