St. Charles Borromeo – Lanfranco


St. Charles Borromeo was the Archbishop of Milan, then cardinal, then Secretary of State under Pope Pius IV. He is known for his work to help those suffering from the great plague that broke out in Milan in the 16th century. He also founded the Oblates of St. Ambrose.
