St. Peter Cutting Off Malchus' Ear

The Apostle Peter uses his sword to defend Jesus Christ during the Savior's arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, cutting off the ear of the servant of the high priest, Malchus. This artwork is by an anonymous painter from the sixteenth century, and is a detail from a larger work depicting the Betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot.
